This fall we put on an event for over 100 young women from 20 different countries. We were hosting a day of community building and inspiration. Jim finished out our day with his contagious enthusiasm, unrelenting passion and  bag of tricks. "So, I have to admit when a very dear friend talked to me about their life coach, Jim Trick, I really didn't think it was what I needed. My entire life had been turned upside down. Medical tragedies had led to a series of events that resulted in the loss of my marriage, my home, and so much more. My son was involved in a horrific car accident which resulted in a severe brain injury I had decisions to make. I did not want to merely exist and survive."

So, my image of life coach was someone who would have me write my goals. They would have me speak positive affirmations. They would have no possible idea of what I felt or what I had lost. I was wrong.

Thankfully, my friend was such a trusted friend that I chose to give it a try. To my amazement, from the first telephone coaching session, I felt understood.

Somehow, Jim managed to hear words that I wasn't able to speak. From there, we entered into a journey. I felt like he reached inside my soul. Together, we discovered safe, creative, and extremely healing ways for me to grieve. I learned to accept my feelings of loss without feeling guilty. I am not one who likes self pity. I thought that I should focus on the fact that my son had survived and not the loss. I learned that it was okay to feel both.

I was never told what my goals should be. What did happen, is that I reached a place where I was able to chart a new course for my life. My life is so much better now. Through the help of God, amazing people in my life, and my life coach, Jim Trick, my career is going well. I have an amazing relationship with my children. My faith is stronger than it has ever been. I still have moments where I grieve my life as it once was. That is okay. I am so thankful to Jim for guiding me through these major transitions in my life.

Working with Jim Trick, is a life altering, eye opening experience. You go into your first session not knowing exactly what "life coaching ," is.  In reality it is whatever you need it to be. It is comfort on a bad day, it is homework assignments where you get to know yourself, not the self you portray to the world, but the self that lives deep inside of you just waiting to be awakened and noticed.  Jim has a way of making you dig deeper, even when you don't want to, but in the end you're a better more whole person for having done so,and he does this in a compassionate, caring,and non judgmental way ,that makes you feel safe.
